The visit was part of an excursion to Aarhus for highly motivated second and third year bachelor honours students planned by The Science Honours Academy at Utrecht University. During their stay in Aarhus, the students visited the university and several companies related to beta sciences, including PROMEMO and DANDRITE. These international visits are meant to broaden the students' perspective of the world that awaits them after graduation, especially the international one. In 2015, the students went to Copenhagen.
The purpose of The Science Honours Academy is to bring students from different disciplines within the Science Faculty of Utrecht University together in order to engage them in a broad range of challenging experiences. This interdisciplinarity allows for the students to see how their field of study relates to other scientific disciplines.
